The Jókai Villa Hotel fulfils a youthful dream and a personal ambition: to play host to visitors at lake Balaton in Siófok.
The history of Villa Jókai
The villa was built from Dávid Braun in 1897 and the building was bought by Dr. Vilmos Fekete, a lawyer from Temesvár, at the turn of the century. The villa’s name reveals that it is connected to the life of one of Hungarians most romantic writers, Mór Jókai. In the year 1903 Jókai spent the last summer of his life in this atmospheric villa in Siófok as a guest of the house owner. Mór Jókai frequently stayed in Siófok and he processed the experiences during the shipping from Siófok to Füred in his novel “Aranyember” (= golden person). The villa served until the end of WW II as a summer residence up to the socialisation in the year 1947.
During the years of socialism the house served as a police station, as a music school and also as a centre for the region of Pannonia. In 1995 the house fell back into the hands of private property.
Equipment of the rooms
As basic equipment you will find LCD TV, telephone, minibar, suitcase rack, hygienic and cosmetic care set, hair-dryer.
The villa offers non-smoking rooms but the lovers of smoking are also not forgotten, who can indulge their passion on the terrace.
As far as the equipment of the bathrooms is concerned, we have considered the different requirements and they are fitted with a bath tub and/or shower. In two superior rooms you can find a corner bath tube for the friends of romance. The rooms of the villa can be furnished by prior arrangement with an additional bed (children bed and baby cot).

We gifted every room with every modern comfort, caring not to lose any detail. This will be a well-being holiday for your own soul.
